About Our Camp

Dr.Meng Programming & AI Bootcamp offers intensive courses designed for students in grades 5-9 in 2022-2023. The courses include 1) Programming Fundamentals, 2) Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, 3) Algorithms & Data Structures for USACO Bronze, 4) Techbots for Mobile App Development and 5) RaspberryPi Fundamental. Each module covers a different central topic in computer science; when mastered, these topics can be applied in many different specialization directions, which provides maximum flexibility to students’ future endeavors in computer science.

Our missions:

  • Intensive programming courses that develop all-around computational thinking and vision for secondary school students.

  • Covers programming fundamentals, algorithms and data structures for USACO, artificial intelligence & machine learning, and mobile app development. 

  • Utilizes innovative and effective teaching methods, designed and taught by experienced instructors.

 

Our Visions:

  • Skills learned from AI bootcamp can be applied to competitive programming (USACO), science fairs (ISEF, STS, AJAS, GSF), hackathons (MIT Appathon),Congressional App Challenge, HackMIT), and a variety of other prestigious competitions.

George Meng

Instructor

George Meng, Ph.D. in Computer Science and MS in Electrical Engineering, IEEE senior member.

 Dr. Meng is an experienced and passionate educator who seeks to train middle and high school students to innovate with STEM. His students have won dozens of top awards at the most prestigious national and international science competitions, including ISEF, STS, ACM Cutler-Bell Prize, Davidson Fellowship, and HackMIT.

Sunny Feng

Instructor

Sunny Feng, PhD in Computer Science, Senior Lecturer at University of Texas in Dallas .

Dr. Feng is an expert of education with rich teaching experience and profound research accomplishments. Her teaching and research interests include computer vision, multimedia retrieval, data mining, pattern recognition, machine learning and computer games.

X. Tang

Instructor

X. Tang, MS in Software Engineering and Statistics, CIE 2021 SECC event chair.

Mr.Tang is a passionate engineer who seeks to promote STEM to K - 12 students. Currently work as Principal engineer lead in automotive company. He has multi-year industry experience in system automation/design, software design and knowledge of IoT devices. He has successfully chaired 2021 DFW-CIE SECC Event (Student Engineering and Creativity Competition), and continue servicing as co-chair for 2022.
